Kerala Tour Packages from Bangalore

Govt. of India enlistedLocal Kerala teamFull itinerary before payment

Our standard Kerala tour packages from Bangalore start from Rs.3,108 per person for a 2 nights and 3 days weekend, and the ladder climbs to a 9 nights and 10 days grand tour at Rs.18,499, standard package, land only on twin sharing. With a 70 minute flight or an 8 hour day train, a long weekend is worth booking.

Of every big Indian city, Bangalore has the shortest run to Kerala, and it is the only one where the road is a real choice rather than a last resort. A nonstop flight to Kochi is about 70 minutes, with close to fifty services a day. The Bengaluru to Ernakulam Vande Bharat covers the same ground in roughly 8 hours 40 minutes as a day train. And Wayanad, the green northern corner of Kerala, sits about 280 km away, a six to seven hour drive through Mysore. (Connectivity as of September 2026.)

We are trip2keralam, a Kerala-based team that runs these routes on the ground. This page is built around what a Bangalore traveller actually does, whichever way you come in, not a generic Kerala list with your city dropped on top. The prices are our own rate-sheet figures, land only and per person on twin sharing, not a teaser number that changes at checkout.

Below are five durations that make sense from Bangalore, from a two night weekend to a full week. We flag the one we would book ourselves and lay it out day by day. Under it sit the plain inclusions, the exclusions with nothing hidden, and a clear note on where your travel fare and GST land.

One honest point up front. Because the flight is short and the train and road are both real, a two or three night trip is genuinely worth it from Bangalore, which is the opposite of a long-haul city. The catch is simple. A short trip means one region done well, not the whole state, so we help you pick the one you will remember.

Most Popular Kerala Package from Bangalore with Trip Cost

We suggest starting with the 3 nights and 4 days Munnar and Alleppey Houseboat Escape, at Rs.5,962 per person on twin sharing, land only, because it fits the way most people travel from Bangalore. You usually have a long weekend to work with, and three nights is the least that still does the tea hills and a houseboat justice. It runs two nights in Munnar for the full sightseeing loop, then a night on an Alleppey houseboat with every meal cooked on board, and loops back to Kochi for your flight or train home.

Against a two night weekend, that extra night is what lets Munnar breathe: a full day for the estates rather than a rushed afternoon, before you drop to the backwaters. Against a longer circuit, you skip Thekkady and the coast, which keeps the driving light. The flight is barely over an hour, so a Thursday evening start can have you home by Monday.

The 2 nights and 3 days Wayanad Green Weekend is the one route on this page that plays to Bangalore's road access. Wayanad is about 280 km away, so many travellers drive or take an overnight bus rather than fly, and it covers Vythiri, the Edakkal Caves at Ambalavayal and the Pookode area without touching the Kochi circuit at all.

Step up to the 3 nights and 4 days Houseboat Escape and the trip shifts south to the classic pairing of Munnar and an Alleppey houseboat, reached in about 70 minutes by flight to Kochi. The 4 nights and 5 days Kerala Classic adds Thekkady, a spice plantation walk and the early Periyar Lake cruise, which is the part that rounds out a hills-and-backwater break.

The 5 nights and 6 days Golden Circuit holds a Fort Kochi night at the front, so your arrival day ends with a harbour walk instead of a long drive. The 6 nights and 7 days Best of Kerala keeps that whole circuit and adds a Kovalam beach night, finishing near Trivandrum airport if you would rather fly home from the south.

The 3 nights and 4 days Houseboat Escape, day by day

Day 1  Kochi to Munnar, up through the waterfall country

We meet you at Kochi airport or Ernakulam station and drive up to Munnar, roughly four hours, with halts at the Cheeyappara and Valara falls where the road runs right beside the water. The afternoon is free around the Pothamedu viewpoint over the tea slopes. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 2  A full day around Munnar

A local sightseeing day covering Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake, Top Station, the Tata Tea Museum and Photo Point. We start at Top Station first thing, because by late morning the mist usually rolls in and the long view is gone. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 3  Down to Alleppey and onto the houseboat

After breakfast we drive down to Alleppey, about four hours, and you board the houseboat around midday. Lunch is served as the boat pulls out, the afternoon drifts through the Kuttanad canals below sea level, and you anchor for sunset with dinner cooked on deck. Every meal on board is included. Overnight on the houseboat.

Day 4 Breakfast on the water, then back to Kochi

Breakfast is served on board before you step off in the morning. We then drive you to Kochi for your flight or train home. If your departure is late, we plan the last few hours so there is no waiting around. The route ends where it started, so your return ticket stays simple.

Want this over four nights, or swapped for a Wayanad drive from Bangalore instead of the Kochi circuit? Tell us how you would rather travel and we will rebuild the days and re-quote, with nothing owed until you confirm.

Types of Kerala Packages from Bangalore?

The routes above are our standard circuits. Travelling with kids, as a couple, watching the budget or after a bit more comfort? Each of these shifts the standard route, and every one carries a real rate-sheet starting price. All rates are per person, twin sharing, land only.

Kerala Family Tour Packages

For families with a long weekend, the 3 nights and 4 days Kochi and Munnar Family Getaway keeps it gentle, a night in Kochi and two in Munnar with no long transfer. With a night more, the 4 nights and 5 days Kochi, Munnar and Alleppey Family Trail adds a houseboat night with meals cooked on board. If you would rather use Bangalore's road access, the 4 nights and 5 days Wayanad and Kozhikode Family Explorer stays in the north with treehouse stays and the beach at Kozhikode.

Kerala Honeymoon Packages

Couples usually want the houseboat to themselves, so the honeymoon versions put you on a private charter rather than a shared boat. The 3 nights and 4 days Misty Munnar and Houseboat Romance keeps it to the tea hills and one private houseboat night. Give it another night and the 4 nights and 5 days Hills, Spice and Houseboat Romance brings in Thekkady and the Periyar cruise. Couples who want to end by the sea take the 5 nights and 6 days Munnar, Thekkady, Alleppey and Kovalam Romance, which signs off at the coast.

Kerala Budget Packages

The lowest starting point is the 2 nights and 3 days Kovalam Beach Unwind, a beach weekend about twenty minutes from Trivandrum airport. Close behind sit two weekends that suit Bangalore well, the 2 nights and 3 days Wayanad Green Weekend which many people simply drive to, and the 2 nights and 3 days Munnar Tea Trails Weekend Break for the hills. From Bangalore these weekend rates are real value, because the journey is short and cheap. The honest catch is that two nights covers one base only, so pick the hills, the coast or Wayanad and do that one thing well.

Kerala Adventure Tour Package

If your idea of a trip is walking, wildlife and a boat at dawn, start with the 2 nights and 3 days Thekkady Spice Trail and Periyar Wildlife Break, which packs in the early Periyar Lake cruise, a spice plantation walk and an optional bamboo raft or border trek. Want more time up high? The 4 nights and 5 days Vagamon and Thekkady Highland Escape trades crowds for the pine meadows of Vagamon and the cardamom slopes. To string hills and wildlife together, the 6 nights and 7 days Hills and Wildlife route runs Munnar, Thekkady and Wayanad in one loop.

Kerala Luxury Tour Package

The premium builds keep the same shape but swap in higher-category resorts and a boat chartered just for you. The 5 nights and 6 days Tea Hills, Houseboat and Poovar Island sets Munnar and a private houseboat alongside two nights at an island resort near Poovar. From there, deluxe, 4-star and premium resorts are priced against the exact stays you pick, not a loose band, so name the category and we quote the real hotels.

Kerala Group Tour Packages

Joint families, friends travelling together or a small office trip run the same circuits, with the vehicle matched to the party and a per-head rate that tends to fall as numbers rise. From Bangalore a shared coach, or a self-drive convoy to Wayanad, works for bigger groups too. Give us the headcount and dates and we price the vehicle and the per-person rate to fit.

What's Included in Kerala Tour Packages from Bangalore?

This is what the featured circuits carry. We itemise it because on most package pages the difference between the headline rate and your final bill is buried right here.

Included

  • Hotel or resort stay on twin sharing, bed and breakfast plan, meaning your room plus breakfast each morning.

  • A private air-conditioned car for every transfer and all sightseeing, exactly to the day plan, not shared with another group.

  • A local driver who doubles as your guide and knows these roads.

  • All fuel, tolls, parking, the inter-state permit and the driver's allowance.

  • Entry tickets and ride charges for everything named in the day-by-day plan, so you are not paying again at each gate.

  • Pickup and drop at Kochi airport or Ernakulam station.

  • The Alleppey houseboat night on full board: welcome drink, lunch, evening tea with snacks, dinner and next-morning breakfast, which is how Alleppey houseboats are sold.

  • Round-the-clock help from the trip2keralam team in Kerala for the whole trip.

Not Included

Stated plainly, so there is nothing to argue about at billing:

  • The Bangalore to Kerala flight, train or bus. Every price here is land only, and we can add airfare or a train fare to your quote as a single figure if you want.
  • Lunch and dinner, except the meals included on the houseboat.
  • Any site, ride or activity not named in the day-by-day plan, including wildlife safaris, bamboo rafting and adventure activities.
  • Ayurveda and spa treatments, camera fees at monuments, tips and personal spends.
  • GST as applicable on tour packages.
  • Anything not written under inclusions.

Your travel from Bangalore is separate, since every price is land only, and GST applies at the current slab. To confirm a booking we take 50 percent of the package amount, with the balance due before departure or on arrival. Rates move on peak dates, roughly 20 December to 5 January, Onam, Christmas, New Year and long weekends, and we flag that before you pay. Room and meal-plan upgrades, from bed and breakfast to half or full board, are re-quoted per booking.

Best Time to Visit Kerala

Use these as a rough guide; we pin down the current picture at the time of booking. Seasonal notes are indicative as of September 2026.
  • September to March: the main window, and where most Bangalore trips land, with settled weather across the hills and the backwaters.
  • November to February: Munnar is at its coolest and clearest now, and the sea is at its calmest if you tack on a Kovalam or Marari night.
  • December to January: bright, cold days in the tea country that most people love, though the 20 December to 5 January stretch is peak, so lock dates two to three months out.
  • April and May: hot and sticky on the coast, which is exactly when a Munnar, Vagamon or Wayanad hill trip appeals while Bangalore warms up too.
  • June to September: the monsoon, greener and cheaper and the traditional Ayurveda season, though a heavy day can reshuffle a plan and some hill trails close, so we keep these itineraries flexible.
  • A note for the Wayanad drive: monsoon landslips can briefly shut the Bandipur and Wayanad ghat roads, so we check the route before a road trip in July and August.
  • One date to watch in Munnar: Eravikulam National Park usually shuts for the calving season, roughly late January to March, so we brief you if the Rajamala visit falls in that window.

Top Attractions Covered in Bangalore to Kerala Holiday Packages

Here is what the featured routes actually set in front of you:
  • Wayanad: Kerala's nearest corner to Bangalore, taking in the Edakkal Caves at Ambalavayal, Pookode Lake and the Vythiri forests, on the 2N/3D weekend.
  • Munnar: rolling tea gardens near 1,600 metres, plus Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake, Top Station and the Tata Tea Museum.
  • Alleppey backwaters: a night afloat through the Kuttanad canals and out onto Vembanad Lake, with each meal prepared on the boat.
  • Thekkady and Periyar: a walk through a working spice plantation at Kumily, the dawn cruise on Periyar Lake inside the tiger reserve, and an evening Kalaripayattu bout.
  • Fort Kochi: the cantilevered Chinese fishing nets at dusk, St Francis Church and Mattancherry Palace, on the arrival evening of the 5N/6D route.
  • Kovalam: a trio of curved beaches under the Vizhinjam lighthouse, roughly twenty minutes from Trivandrum airport, closing the 6N/7D trip.

People Also Asked About Kerala Trip Packages from Bangalore

Can I reach Kerala from Bangalore by road, and is it worth driving?

For the north it often is. Wayanad is about 280 km away, a six to seven hour drive through Mysore, so a weekend there works well by car or overnight bus. For Munnar and the backwaters, most people still fly to Kochi in about 70 minutes, because the road south runs close to ten hours. One thing to plan around: the Bandipur forest stretch on the Wayanad route is shut to traffic from 9 pm to 6 am, so you leave Bangalore early or break the journey.

Is the train from Bangalore to Kerala a good option?

Yes, and this is where Bangalore has an edge. The Bengaluru to Ernakulam Vande Bharat covers the run in about 8 hours 40 minutes as a comfortable day service, and several overnight trains reach Ernakulam, Kannur and Kozhikode too. It is not included in the package, but tell us your train and we plan the pickup around it. Timings are as of September 2026, so we reconfirm at the time of booking.

Are flights from Bangalore included in the package price?
No. Everything quoted here is land only, so your Bangalore to Kerala flight, train or bus sits outside the package. If it is easier, we can fold the airfare into your quote as one figure. Either way, our part starts the moment you reach Kochi airport or the Ernakulam platform and covers every transfer inside Kerala.
Which part of Kerala is closest to Bangalore?
Wayanad, comfortably. It sits about 280 km from Bangalore in Kerala's north, which is why it is the one region most Bangalore travellers reach by road rather than by air. Munnar, Thekkady and the Alleppey backwaters are further south and are quicker to reach by the short flight to Kochi than by the long drive.
How many nights do I need for a Kerala trip from Bangalore?
Three nights and four days is the sweet spot, enough for the tea hills and a houseboat without rushing, and a route that loops back to Kochi. Because the flight is short and the train and road both work, two night weekends pay off from Bangalore as well, as long as you stick to one region. Five or six nights adds Thekkady and a beach if you have the time.
Which airport should I fly into from Bangalore?

It depends on the route. Kochi suits the classic Munnar, Thekkady and Alleppey circuits and the 3N/4D houseboat trip. Kozhikode is the closer arrival for Wayanad and the north if you fly rather than drive. Trivandrum suits a Kovalam or Varkala beach trip. Tell us the route you are leaning towards and we match the airport to it.

When do prices peak for a Bangalore to Kerala trip?
Hotels and our rates climb over the 20 December to 5 January window, Onam in the monsoon months, and long weekends, which Bangalore travellers use a lot. Flights and Wayanad stays fill up on those long weekends in particular. Booking two to three months ahead of those dates keeps the total down, and we flag peak pricing before you pay.
Can the trip be tailored for a family, a couple or a group?
It is meant to be. Room category and meal plan stay open for you to set at booking, and we can bolt on nights, switch a shared houseboat for a private one, drop the Kochi circuit for a Wayanad drive, or scale the vehicle up for a group. Tell us who is coming and roughly what you picture, and we shape the route to match.

Plan your Kerala trip from Bangalore

Tell us your travel dates, how many are coming, and whether you want Bangalore flights added or a hand booking the Vande Bharat. You will have a day-by-day plan and a firm land-only price back from our Kerala desk within a working day, and we will keep adjusting it until the trip sits right.
