Kerala Tour Packages from Ahmedabad

Govt. of India enlistedLocal Kerala teamFull itinerary before payment

Our standard Kerala tour packages from Ahmedabad start from Rs.6,456/- per person for a 4 nights and 5 days circuit, land only, and run up to a 9 nights and 10 days grand tour from Rs.14,499/-. Flights are separate. The trip we suggest first is the 6 nights and 7 days Family Grand Tour at Rs. 8,499/- hills and backwaters ending on a Marari beach day, flying in and out of Kochi.

Most people booking from Ahmedabad are not coming for a weekend. They are coming as a family or a group, once, and they want the trip to be worth the flight. That single point shapes this whole page. We have built it around routes that fly into Kochi and come back to Kochi, so your air ticket stays one simple round trip rather than an open-jaw puzzle across two airports.

The other thing to settle upfront is the flight itself. A nonstop from Ahmedabad to Kochi takes about 2 hours 25 to 2 hours 30 minutes, but there are only a handful of them a week, so most travellers end up on a one-stop through Mumbai, Bengaluru or Hyderabad. Once you have spent that much of a day getting here, a two-night dash makes no sense. Five to eight nights does.

We are trip2keralam, a Kerala-based team that runs these routes on the ground. We book the same hotels and houseboats every week, we drive these roads, and we stay reachable through your trip. This page is written from that, not from a brochure.

Below are five durations that actually work from Ahmedabad. One is marked as the trip we recommend and written out day by day. You also get the full price table from a short circuit to a ten-day tour, exactly what is included, and honest notes on the drives and the seasons.

One honest point. From Ahmedabad the 2 nights and 3 days packages you will see advertised are poor value. You would spend close to six hours in the air, often with a connection at each end, for barely two nights in Kerala. They sit in the price table for completeness, but we would not book one ourselves and we do not push them.

Why Visit Kerala from Ahmedabad?

A few reasons Kerala earns the trip from Ahmedabad, beyond the obvious green and water:

A complete change of scene

a green coastal state after a dry western plain, with hills at around 1,600 metres in Munnar, backwater canals in Kuttanad and an easy warm sea on the coast, all inside one week.

Round-trip routing keeps flights simple

the classic circuit runs from Kochi through Munnar, Thekkady and the backwaters and loops back to Kochi, so your Ahmedabad return flight leaves from the same airport you landed at.

Food that suits Gujarati travellers

a Kerala Sadya on a banana leaf is largely vegetarian, and pure-veg and Jain food is easy to arrange across the hotels and the houseboat when you tell us in advance.

Built for family pace

the state runs on tourism and the hospitality is unhurried, which suits extended families travelling with grandparents and children rather than a rushed sightseeing sprint.

Far enough that flying wins outright

flying is the only sensible way in. The Ahmedabad to Kerala train runs well over 30 hours, so the plane gives you your holiday back.

Most Popular Kerala Package from Ahmedabad with Trip Cost

The 6 nights and 7 days Kerala Family Grand Tour, at Rs. 8,499 per person (standard package) on twin sharing, land only, is one of the best packages we run for travellers heading to Kerala from Ahmedabad. Kochi, two nights in Munnar, Thekkady, a houseboat night through Kuttanad, then a free day on Marari beach before a short run back to Kochi.

We recommend this one because it does the hard thing well: it stays a round trip to Kochi, it breaks up the driving so no day is punishing, and it ends on sand rather than in a hotel lobby. Marari is only about 25 minutes from Alleppey, which means the last transfer is gentle on grandparents and gives children an unstructured afternoon. For a group that has flown a long way, that finish matters more than squeezing in a sixth town.

Compare the five durations that make sense from Ahmedabad

Duration Route (nights per stop) Standard Package Price from (per person) Best for
4N / 5D Kerala Classic Rs.6,456 The shortest trip worth the airfare: hills, spice and a houseboat, round trip to Kochi.
5N / 6D Kerala Golden Circuit Rs. 7,991 The same core eased out with a Fort Kochi night up front, so nothing gets rushed.
6N / 7D Kerala Family Grand Tour (Recommended) Rs. 8,499 The full week for a family, ending with a free Marari beach day instead of a long drive.
7N / 8D Kerala Complete Family Circuit Rs. 9,999 Adds the Athirappilly waterfalls and a Marari night, still looping back to Kochi.
8N / 9D Kerala Family Explorer Rs. 11,999 An unhurried grand family holiday: falls, two nights in Thekkady, backwaters and beach.

Here is what each extra day buys. The 4 nights and 5 days Kerala Classic gives you Munnar, Thekkady and one houseboat night, which is the true core of Kerala on a tight window. The 5 nights and 6 days Golden Circuit is the same route with a night added at Kochi so the first day is not a scramble off the flight.

From six nights the trip changes character. The 6 nights and 7 days Family Grand Tour swaps the second hill town for a beach finish at Marari. The 7 nights and 8 days Complete Family Circuit adds the Athirappilly falls near Kochi and a night on the beach. The 8 nights and 9 days Explorer stretches Thekkady to two nights and slows everything down, which is the version large family groups tend to pick for an annual holiday.

Day by day: the 6 nights and 7 days Family Grand Tour

Day 1 Fort Kochi, five centuries of trade in one short walk

We meet you at Kochi airport or the railway station and settle you into Fort Kochi. The afternoon is a slow walk along the waterfront to the Chinese fishing nets, which you will not see anywhere else in India outside here and a stretch of Kollam, then Marine Drive as the light drops. An evening Kathakali show is there if you want it, payable at the venue. Overnight in Kochi.

Day 2 Climbing to Munnar through waterfall country

A drive up to Munnar, roughly four hours, does half your sightseeing for you. The road passes straight under the Cheeyappara and Valara falls, so there is no walk-in, just a stop at the roadside. The tea gardens start well before the town. An easy afternoon at Blossom Park before you check in. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 3 Munnar, dams, viewpoints and the tea story

A full local day at your own pace. Boating at Mattupetty Dam if the children want it, then Echo Point and Kundala Lake, and the Tata Tea Museum where the old rolling machinery still runs a demonstration. Photo Point on the way back. This is the day the group slows down and the trip stops feeling like travel. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 4 Down to Thekkady for spices and an evening of Kalari

The drive to Thekkady runs about three and a half to four hours through cardamom country. A guided spice plantation walk at Kumily puts vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon and pepper in front of you on the vine, which is more interesting than it sounds once you smell it fresh. An optional Kathakali and Kalaripayattu show in the evening, payable directly. Overnight in Thekkady.

Day 5 The Periyar cruise, then boarding the houseboat

An early boat cruise on Periyar Lake inside the reserve, best light and the best chance of seeing elephants at the water. Then the drive to Alleppey, about three and a half hours, to board your houseboat around noon. Lunch is served as the boat pushes off through the Kuttanad canals, paddy fields farmed below sea level slide past, and all meals that night are cooked on board. Overnight on the houseboat.

Day 6 Off the water and onto Marari beach

Breakfast on the boat, then you disembark mid-morning and drive about 25 minutes to Mararikulam. Marari is a working fishing village with a wide, quiet beach and no resort strip behind it, calmer and far less commercial than Kovalam. The afternoon is free on the sand. Fresh catch lands in the evening and gets cooked the same night. Overnight at Marari.

Day 7 A slow last morning, then Kochi

No early checkout scramble. A last morning on the beach, then the drive back to Kochi for your drop, roughly an hour and a half. You leave from the same airport you arrived at, which is exactly why this route suits an Ahmedabad flight.

Plan your trip:  Like this route but want it slower, or a beach-resort upgrade at Marari? Tell us your dates and how many rooms you need and we will rework it and quote it straight back.

Types of Kerala Packages from Ahmedabad?

The routes above are our general circuits. If you are travelling as a family, as a couple, on a budget, for adventure, in comfort or as a large group, here is where each of you should start.

Kerala Family Tour Packages

The 6 nights and 7 days Kerala Family Grand Tour is our lead family trip: Kochi, Munnar, Thekkady, a houseboat night and a free Marari beach day, all round trip to Kochi. Shorter families take the 5 nights and 6 days Golden Circuit, and larger groups with more days pick the 8 nights and 9 days Family Explorer. Child rates and connecting or family rooms are confirmed per hotel.

Kerala Honeymoon Packages

For couples, the 5 nights and 6 days Munnar, Thekkady, Alleppey and Kovalam Romance runs the classic hills-to-beach with a private houseboat and a Kovalam finish. Couples with a full week take the 6 nights and 7 days Complete Kerala Romance. Both come with a private houseboat rather than a shared one.

Kerala Budget Packages

The lowest starting point that still earns the airfare from Ahmedabad is the 4 nights and 5 days range. The Vagamon and Thekkady Highland Escape sits on that floor. Below four nights the flying eats too much of the trip to be good value, which is why we do not lead with the two and three-night rates.

Kerala Adventure Tour Package

For walking, wildlife and waterfalls, the 6 nights and 7 days Offbeat Kerala route links Athirappilly, Vagamon, Gavi and Thekkady, and the 7 nights and 8 days Wildlife and Waterfalls trail runs Wayanad to Athirappilly. Safaris, treks and rafting are arranged locally and quoted on top, since permits and timings are set by the forest department.

Kerala Luxury Tour Package

The same circuits run at a premium tier: 4-star and resort-category stays, a private houseboat instead of a shared one, and add-on Ayurveda at established centres. We re-quote these per route once you tell us the category and dates. The honeymoon routes in particular sit naturally at this level.

Kerala Group Tour Packages

The circuits above run just as well for extended families, friends travelling together and small tour groups from Ahmedabad. We arrange larger vehicles or a coach, block rooms together and add a second houseboat when the group outgrows one. Tell us the headcount and we plan the logistics around it.

What's Included in Kerala Tour Packages from Ahmedabad?

These inclusions apply to the featured circuits. We list them in full because the real gap between quotes is what sits inside the price and what gets billed later on the ground.

Included

  • Hotel or resort stay, bed and breakfast plan: Room plus daily breakfast, on twin sharing, at the category you confirm.

  • A private air-conditioned vehicle: For every transfer and all sightseeing, exactly as the day-by-day itinerary sets out.

  • An experienced local driver-cum-guide: Who knows these roads and handles the day so you are not navigating.

  • Every running cost of the car: All fuel, tolls, parking, inter-state permits and driver allowance, so there is no top-up during the trip.

  • Entry tickets and ride charges: For everything named in the day-by-day itinerary. Several competitors quietly leave these out and collect them from you at each gate.

  • The Alleppey houseboat night on full board: Welcome drink, lunch, evening tea with snacks, dinner and next-morning breakfast, all cooked on board, which is standard on Alleppey houseboats.

  • Airport or station transfers: In Kerala, pickup and drop at Kochi airport or the railway station included.

  • 24x7 on-ground assistance: From the trip2keralam team for the length of the trip, a real person you can call.

Not Included

Stated plainly, so nothing lands on the bill as a surprise:

  • Air and rail fare between Ahmedabad and Kerala. We can add flights to your quote on request.
  • Lunch and dinner, except the meals included on the houseboat night.
  • Any site, ride or activity not named in the day-by-day itinerary, including wildlife safaris, bamboo rafting and adventure activities.
  • Ayurveda treatments and spa, camera fees, tips and personal expenses.
  • GST as applicable on tour packages.
  • Anything not mentioned under inclusions.

Kerala Trip Cost from Ahmedabad?

Starting prices by duration, per person on twin sharing, land only, on bed and breakfast with the houseboat night on full board. These are current rate-sheet figures as of August 2026 and are confirmed against your dates when we quote.

Duration Standard price(PP) Range (Standard to Luxury) What the trip usually covers
2 Nights / 3 Days Rs.3,108 Rs.3,108 to Rs.8,478 One base only: a beach, the Munnar hills or a single backwater night.
3 Nights / 4 Days Rs. 4,134 Rs. 4,134  to Rs. 8,882 Two spots, usually hills plus a houseboat night.
4 Nights / 5 Days Rs.6,479 Rs.6,479 to Rs.9,998 The core circuit: Munnar, Thekkady and an Alleppey houseboat.
5 Nights / 6 Days Rs.6,499 Rs.6,499 to Rs.9,999 The classic circuit with a Fort Kochi night added.
6 Nights / 7 Days Rs.8,499 Rs.8,499 to Rs.11,999 Hills, spice and backwaters with a beach or coast finish.
7 Nights / 8 Days Rs.9,499 Rs.9,499 to Rs.12,999 A fuller circuit adding waterfalls or heritage towns.
8 Nights / 9 Days Rs.10,999 Rs.10,999 to Rs.16,999 An end-to-end run across the state, north or south.
9 Nights / 10 Days Rs.13,499 Rs.13,499 to Rs.18,999 The complete grand tour, top to bottom of Kerala.

A note on the short options. The 2 nights and 3 days and 3 nights and 4 days rows are on the table because people ask for them, but from Ahmedabad they mean spending most of the trip in transit. We would rather you took the 4 nights and 5 days Classic at the least.

Two costs sit on top of these. Flights from Ahmedabad are separate, since every price here is land only. GST applies on tour packages at the prevailing slab. Peak dates, roughly 20 December to 5 January and around Onam, Christmas and New Year, carry higher hotel rates, which we show in writing when we quote.

Best Time to Visit Kerala

Season notes for planning, indicative as of August 2026. We confirm current conditions when you book.
  • September to March: the main season and the window we plan most Ahmedabad trips into. Comfortable across hills, backwaters and coast.
  • November to February: the calmest sea at Kovalam and Marari and the clearest air in the hills, which is why the beach-finish routes read best then.
  • December to January: cold and misty in Munnar, which most families enjoy, but also the peak-pricing stretch from 20 December to 5 January when resorts fill and rates climb.
  • April and May: hot and humid on the coast, and school-holiday demand fills family resorts early, so book two to three months out if you travel then.
  • June to September: the monsoon. Green, quiet and cheaper, and traditionally the best season for an Ayurveda course, though some cliff and beach businesses shut.

Top Attractions Covered in Ahmedabad to Kerala Holiday Packages

What the featured family routes actually put in front of you:

  • Fort Kochi: the Chinese fishing nets, St Francis Church, Mattancherry Palace and an evening Kathakali performance.
  • Munnar: tea estates at around 1,600 metres, Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake and the Tata Tea Museum demonstration.
  • Thekkady and Periyar: a guided spice plantation walks at Kumily and the Periyar Lake boat cruise inside the tiger reserve, with a chance of elephants.
  • Alleppey backwaters: an overnight houseboat through the Kuttanad canals and Vembanad Lake, all meals cooked on board.
  • Marari Beach: a working fishing-village beach about 25 minutes from Alleppey, calmer and less built-up than Kovalam, ideal as a final free day.
  • Athirappilly Falls: on the 7 nights and 8 days and longer routes, a wide monsoon-fed waterfall an hour and a half from Kochi, at its fullest right after the rains.

Why Book Your Kerala tour package from Ahmedabad with trip2keralam?

Planning reads that help: our Munnar travel guide and how to reach Kerala.

We are in Kerala, not reselling from another state

our team runs these exact routes, so we know which resort in Munnar actually has a view and which houseboat crew looks after children well.

The price is honest

entry tickets and the houseboat full board are already inside the figure, so the quote is close to what you actually spend on the ground.

We plan around your flight

we route you in and out of Kochi so your Ahmedabad air ticket stays a single round trip, and we time the itinerary around your arrival, whether it is a nonstop or a connection.

A real person you can reach

you get a named coordinator on WhatsApp through the trip, plus 24x7 support if anything shifts.

Food sorted before you land

we tell hotels in advance about pure-veg and Jain requirements, and the houseboat crew will cook milder food for children.

Honest re-sequencing

if weather, a forest closure or a temple restriction forces a change, we re-sequence the days and keep the inclusions intact rather than dropping them.

People Also Asked About Kerala Trip Packages from Ahmedabad

Are there nonstop flights from Ahmedabad to Kerala, or will we connect?
There is a nonstop from Ahmedabad to Kochi of about 2 hours 25 to 2 hours 30 minutes, but only a few a week, so many travellers fly one-stop through Mumbai, Bengaluru or Hyderabad. We build your day one around your actual arrival time, so a connecting flight does not cost you sightseeing. Tell us your flight when you have it and we adjust the pickup.
Are flights from Ahmedabad included in the package price?

No. Every price on this page is land only, so Ahmedabad to Kerala airfare is separate. We can add flights to your quote if you want one figure, though many families book their own air ticket and take just the land package from us. Either way the routes fly in and out of Kochi to keep the ticket simple.

Which airport should we fly into from Ahmedabad, and do we return to the same one?

Fly into Kochi (COK). All five featured routes loop back to Kochi, so you depart from the same airport, which is the easiest booking from Ahmedabad. On longer open-jaw routes we can start at Kochi and end at Trivandrum instead, but for a family round trip we keep it to Kochi both ways.

Is vegetarian and Jain food easy to find on a Kerala trip?

Yes. A traditional Kerala Sadya served on a banana leaf is almost entirely vegetarian, and pure-veg restaurants are common in every town on these routes. For strict Jain requirements we brief the hotels and the houseboat crew before you arrive, so it is arranged rather than a scramble. Just tell us at the time of booking.

How many nights do we need for a Kerala trip from Ahmedabad?
With a flight this length, six nights is the sweet spot, enough for the hills, the spice country, a houseboat night and a beach finish without rushing. Four to five nights covers the core circuit if leave is tight. We would not suggest anything shorter than four nights from Ahmedabad, because the flying starts to outweigh the holiday.
Is the trip comfortable for elderly parents and young children?
That is what the recommended route is shaped for. Munnar gets two nights so there is no back-to-back driving, the houseboat night involves no walking, and the trip ends with a beach day at Marari about 25 minutes from Alleppey rather than a long final drive. Tell us the ages and we match the hotels and the houseboat layout to them.
Is the Alleppey houseboat an overnight stay, and how does it work?
Yes, it is a full night on the boat, not a day cruise. You board around midday, lunch is served as you set off, the boat cruises the Kuttanad canals through the afternoon and anchors for the night. All meals are cooked on board and breakfast is served before you disembark the next morning. The crew cooks milder food for children on request.
When do prices peak for an Ahmedabad to Kerala trip?

Both the package and the flight cost most from 20 December to 5 January and around Onam, Christmas and New Year, and again in the April and May school holidays when family resorts fill. September to March outside those windows is the best mix of weather and price. Book peak dates two to three months ahead to hold both rooms and a reasonable airfare.

Plan your trip:  Tell us your travel window, how many adults and children are coming, and if you want us to add Ahmedabad flights. We will build the plan, hold the rooms and the houseboat, and send a firm quote before you pay anything.
