Kerala Tour Packages from Delhi, Priced and Planned Around Your Flight

Govt. of India enlistedLocal Kerala teamFull itinerary before payment

Kerala tour packages from Delhi run from 3 nights and 4 days up to 9 nights and 10 days, standard packages priced from Rs.4,981 per person, land only. Flights from Delhi are about 3 to 3.5 hours and are extra. For a first trip we recommend the 6 nights and 7 days circuit, from Rs.8,999 per person.

If you are comparing Kerala tour packages from Delhi, your first real constraint is the flight. It runs about three to three and a half hours nonstop to Kochi or Trivandrum, which means part of a day at each end goes to travel. That one fact decides which trips are worth doing and which just move you around.

We are trip2keralam, an on-ground team based in Kerala. We run these routes ourselves, so this page is built around what works from Delhi rather than a generic list with your city dropped on top. Every price here is land only, per person on twin sharing, and taken from our current rate sheet.

Below are four durations that make sense from Delhi. One is marked as the pick we recommend and written out day by day. You will also see exactly what the price covers, what it does not, and where flights and GST sit.

One thing we will say plainly. A 2 nights and 3 days trip is not worth the airfare from Delhi, because you would spend more of it in transit than in Kerala, so we leave it off this route. The shortest we run from Delhi is 3 nights and 4 days, and for a first visit we usually steer people to 6 nights and 7 days.

Why Visit Kerala from Delhi?

A few reasons Kerala works well as a trip from Delhi, beyond the scenery:

Short flight, real time on the ground

Kochi and Trivandrum both take nonstop flights from Delhi at roughly three to three and a half hours (as of September 2026), on IndiGo, Air India and Air India Express, so a proper Kerala circuit fits inside a week of leave.

A complete change from the north

you leave a dry northern plain and land in a green coastal state where the air is heavy, the food turns to coconut and fish, and the day runs slower.

Flying beats the train from this far

the Delhi to Kerala rail journey runs close to two full days each way, which eats most of a week. Flying in and out is the only version that leaves real time on the ground. If you would rather take the train, tell us and we will plan the days around a longer arrival.

Open-jaw routing saves a day

because Kerala runs north to south, land at Kochi, tour down through the hills and backwaters, and fly home from Trivandrum, instead of backtracking to your arrival city the way many package pages quietly build into the price.

Most Popular Kerala Package from Delhi with Trip Cost

For travellers flying in from Delhi, the 6 nights and 7 days Best of Kerala route is the one we point to first. It packs the full spread Kerala is known for into a single trip, a heritage port, tea hills, spice country, a backwater night and a beach, with no punishing drive between them, so a week of leave comes back feeling like a proper holiday rather than a race to tick places off. It starts at Rs.16,999 per person on twin sharing, land only. It runs the length of central and southern Kerala, from the old port at Kochi up to the tea estates of Munnar at around 1,600 metres, down through the Thekkady spice hills and a night on the Alleppey backwaters, then out to the sea at Kovalam before a heritage morning in Trivandrum.

We recommend this one from Delhi for a simple reason. Once you have paid for a three-hour-plus flight each way, you want enough on-ground time to make the airfare worth it, and six nights is the point where the trip stops feeling rushed. It also uses the open-jaw routing, arriving Kochi and departing Trivandrum, so no day is wasted doubling back.

Here is what each extra day actually buys you. The 4 nights and 5 days Kerala Classic covers the core three, Munnar for tea and hills, Thekkady for spice and Periyar, and a houseboat night at Alleppey, then returns to Kochi. It is genuine but tight, with a couple of longer drive days and no coast.

The 5 nights and 6 days Golden Circuit is the same core with a night added at Kochi up front, so you start with a Fort Kochi walk instead of driving straight out of the airport. The 6 nights and 7 days route adds the run down to Kovalam and the Arabian Sea, plus a Trivandrum heritage morning, which is what turns a hill-and-backwater trip into a full Kerala one. The 7 nights and 8 days version holds an extra night at Kovalam and runs a day trip to Kanyakumari, the southern tip of the mainland, for anyone who would rather end slowly by the sea than pack more driving in.

Day-by-day: the 6 nights and 7 days route

Day 1  Kochi: five centuries of trade in one walk

We pick you up at Kochi airport and settle you into Fort Kochi. The afternoon is a walk through the old town, the Chinese fishing nets on the shore, St Francis Church and the Mattancherry Palace, and an evening Kathakali performance. The nets at dusk are the thing to catch, still worked by hand by teams of four. Overnight in Kochi.

Day 2  Climbing to Munnar through waterfall country

A drive up to Munnar, roughly four hours, with stops at the Cheeyappara and Valara falls where the road runs right past the water. The afternoon is free around Pothamedu viewpoint as the tea slopes open up. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 3  Munnar: dams, viewpoints and tea estates

A full local day: Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake, Top Station, the Tea Museum and Photo Point. Do Top Station early, before the mist closes in and takes the view with it. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 4  Thekkady: spice plantations and an evening of Kalari

Down to Thekkady, about three and a half to four hours, for a spice plantation walk at Kumily, then an evening Kathakali and Kalaripayattu show. Crushing a fresh cardamom pod in your hand at the plantation is nothing like the shop version. Overnight in Thekkady.

Day 5  Boarding the houseboat at Alleppey

An early boat cruise on Periyar Lake, then the drive to Alleppey to board your houseboat around midday. Lunch is served as it casts off, the afternoon drifts through the Kuttanad canals, and you anchor for sunset with dinner cooked on board. All meals are included on the boat. Overnight on the houseboat.

Day 6  Disembarking and the coast road to Kovalam

Breakfast on the water, then disembark in the morning and drive south down the coast to Kovalam. The evening is free for sunset at Lighthouse Beach. Overnight in Kovalam.

Day 7  Trivandrum heritage morning

A short city round in Trivandrum, the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, the Napier Museum and Kuthiramalika Palace with its 122 carved wooden horses along the eaves, before we drop you at Trivandrum airport for your flight back to Delhi.

Like this route but want it slower, or with a beach resort upgrade? Tell us how you travel and we will re-plan the seven days and re-quote, with no obligation.

Types of Kerala Packages from Delhi

The routes above are our general circuits. If you are travelling as a family, as a couple, on a budget, or want more comfort, here is how each version changes, with a real starting price from our rate sheet. Every price is per person on twin sharing, land only.

Kerala Family Tour Packages

Our 6 nights and 7 days Kerala Family Grand Tour runs Kochi, Munnar, Thekkady, an Alleppey houseboat night and finishes at Marari, a quiet fishing-village beach 25 minutes from Alleppey Ending on a free beach day instead of another drive is deliberate, because it gives children a day to do nothing after a busy week. If a week is too long, the 4 nights and 5 days Kochi, Munnar and Alleppey Family Trail covers a port city, a hill station and the backwaters with no punishing drive.

Kerala Honeymoon Packages

The 6 nights and 7 days Complete Kerala Romance takes couples through Kochi, Munnar, Thekkady, a private Alleppey houseboat and Kovalam with the houseboat night booked as a private charter rather than a shared boat. For a shorter honeymoon, the 4 nights and 5 days Hills, Spice and Houseboat Romance keeps Munnar, Thekkady and a private houseboat. December and January bring cold estate evenings in Munnar, which most couples enjoy.

Kerala Budget Packages

The lowest starting point that still makes sense from Delhi is the 4 nights and 5 days Vagamon and Thekkady Highland Escape, a quieter highland route through pine meadows and the cardamom hills. All budget quotes are land only on standard hotels, so the way to keep the total down from Delhi is to book flights early and travel outside the December-January peak.

Kerala Adventure Tour Package

For walking and wildlife, the 6 nights and 7 days Offbeat Kerala route links Athirappilly, Vagamon, Gavi and Thekkady. Gavi is a controlled forest and cardamom settlement with guided treks and lake activity, and daily numbers are capped, so it has to be booked ahead. If you want waterfalls and caves instead, the 4 nights and 5 days Wayanad and Kozhikode Family Explorer covers the Edakkal caves and Wayanad's trails. Trails and cave climbs close in heavy rain, so these run best from October to May.

Kerala Luxury Tour Package

The luxury versions run the same routes with premium-category resorts and a private houseboat charter. The 7 nights and 8 days Seven Nights of Kerala Romance, taking in Munnar, Thekkady, a private houseboat, Marari and Kovalam. Above that, deluxe, 4-star and premium resort upgrades are quoted per booking through our upgrade options, so tell us your preferred category and we will price the exact stays rather than quote a vague band.

Kerala Group Tour Packages

The same circuits run for larger groups, extended families, friends travelling together or small office trips, with the vehicle sized to the party and a per-head rate that usually drops as the group grows. Group pricing and vehicle type are quoted on request against your exact numbers and dates.

What's Included in Kerala Tour Packages from Delhi?

These inclusions apply to the featured circuits above. We list them in full because the gap between a headline price and what you actually pay on the ground is usually hidden in this section.

Included

  • Hotel or resort stay on twin sharing, bed and breakfast plan, meaning room plus daily breakfast.

  • A private air-conditioned vehicle for all transfers and sightseeing, exactly as per the itinerary.

  • An experienced local driver-cum-guide who knows the routes.

  • All fuel, tolls, parking, inter-state permits and driver allowance.

  • Entry tickets and ride charges for everything named in the day-by-day itinerary. Many competitors leave these out and you pay at each gate.

  • Airport or railway station pickup and drop in Kerala.

  • The Alleppey houseboat night on full board: welcome drink, lunch, evening tea with snacks, dinner and next-morning breakfast, which is the standard way Alleppey and Kumarakom houseboats are sold.

  • 24x7 on-ground assistance from the trip2keralam team in Kerala for the length of the trip.

Not Included

Stated plainly, so there are no surprises at billing:

  • Air and rail fare between Delhi and Kerala. We can add flights to your quote on request.
  • Lunch and dinner, except the meals included on the houseboat.
  • Any site, ride or activity not named in the day-by-day itinerary, including wildlife safaris, bamboo rafting and adventure activities.
  • Ayurveda treatments and spa specifically listed, camera fees, tips and personal expenses.
  • GST as applicable on tour packages.
  • Anything not mentioned under inclusions.

Kerala Trip Cost from Delhi?

Starting prices by duration, per person on twin sharing, land only. These are current rate-sheet figures as of August 2026 and are confirmed against your exact dates before booking. Flights from Delhi and GST are extra.

9 Nights / 10 DaysRs.13,499Rs.13,499 to Rs.18,999

A note on the short options. The 2 nights and 3 days row is in the table for reference, but from Delhi the flight time makes it poor value, so we do not run it on this route. The shortest we offer from Delhi is 3 nights and 4 days, and 6 nights and 7 days is the pick, marked above.

Two costs sit on top of these. Flights from Delhi are separate, since all prices are land only, and GST applies as per the current slab. To confirm a booking we take 50 percent of the package amount, with the balance due before departure or on arrival. Rates move on peak dates, roughly 20 December to 5 January, Onam, Christmas, New Year and long weekends, and we flag that before you pay. Room and meal-plan upgrades, from bed-and-breakfast to half or full board, are re-quoted per booking.

Best Time to Visit Kerala

Season notes below are for planning; we confirm current conditions when you book. Dates are indicative as of September 2026.
  • September to March: the main season and the window we plan most Delhi trips into. Comfortable across hills, backwaters and coast.
  • November to February: the best stretch for the beaches at Kovalam and the clearest views at Kanyakumari, when the sea is calmest.
  • December to January: cold and clear in Munnar, which most travellers enjoy, but also the peak-price window from 20 December to 5 January. Book two to three months ahead.
  • April and May: hot and humid on the coast, and school-holiday demand fills family resorts early, so this suits shorter hill-focused trips more than beach ones.
  • June to September: the monsoon. Green, quiet and cheaper, and traditionally the best season for Ayurveda, but Varkala cliff businesses and some Wayanad trails close, and heavy-rain days can reshuffle a day plan.

Top Attractions Covered in Delhi to Kerala Holiday Packages

What the featured routes actually put in front of you:
  • Fort Kochi: the Chinese fishing nets, St Francis Church, Mattancherry Palace and an evening Kathakali show in the old port town.
  • Munnar: tea estates at around 1,600 metres, Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Top Station, Kundala Lake and the Tea Museum.
  • Thekkady and Periyar: a spice plantation walk at Kumily, the Periyar Lake boat cruise inside the tiger reserve, and a Kalaripayattu performance.
  • Alleppey backwaters: an overnight houseboat through the Kuttanad canals and Vembanad Lake, with meals cooked on board.
  • Kovalam: the Arabian Sea and Lighthouse Beach, the most established beach stretch in the south.
  • Trivandrum: the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, the Napier Museum and Kuthiramalika Palace with its carved wooden horses.
  • Kanyakumari (7N/8D only): the southernmost tip of the mainland, where three seas meet, reached as a day trip from Kovalam.

People Also Asked About Kerala Trip Packages from Delhi

Are flights from Delhi included in the Kerala package price?

No. All our prices are land only, so Delhi to Kerala airfare is separate. The flight is short, about three to three and a half hours nonstop to Kochi or Trivandrum, on IndiGo, Air India and Air India Express (as of September 2026). We are happy to add flights to your quote so you have one figure, or you can book them yourself and we handle everything from the airport onward.

Should I fly into Kochi and out of Trivandrum, or return to the same airport?

For the 6 nights and 7 days route and longer, fly into Kochi and out of Trivandrum. Kerala runs north to south, so an open-jaw booking lets you tour straight down the state instead of driving back to your arrival city, which saves a full day. On the shorter 4 and 5 night routes that loop back to Kochi, a return ticket to Kochi is usually simpler.

How many days do I need for a Kerala trip from Delhi?

With a three-hour-plus flight each way, 6 nights and 7 days is the sweet spot, enough to cover hills, spice country, the backwaters and a beach without rushing. The shortest we run from Delhi is 3 nights and 4 days, up to a full 9 nights and 10 days. A 2 nights and 3 days trip is not worth the airfare from this far, which is why we do not offer it on this route.

How much does a Kerala tour from Delhi cost?
Land only, per person on twin sharing: from Rs.9,999 for a 4 nights and 5 days budget route, from Rs.11,499 for the 4 nights and 5 days Kerala Classic, and from Rs.16,999 for the recommended 6 nights and 7 days circuit. Flights from Delhi and GST are extra. These are current figures as of August 2026 and are confirmed against your exact dates before you pay.
Is the Alleppey houseboat an overnight stay, and how does it work?
Yes, it is a full night on the boat, not a day cruise. You board around midday, lunch is served as it casts off, you drift through the Kuttanad canals, anchor for the night and disembark after breakfast the next morning. All meals on board are included.
What is the best time to visit Kerala from Delhi?
September to March is the main season and the easiest weather across hills, backwaters and coast. November to February is best if the beaches at Kovalam matter to you. The June to September monsoon is greener and cheaper and good for Ayurveda, but some Varkala and Wayanad businesses close and rain can reshuffle a day, so we plan those trips with a little slack.
Is there a dress code at the Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum?
Yes. The Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple has a strict dress code, traditionally a mundu or dhoti for men with the upper body uncovered and a saree or set-mundu for women, and entry has historically been for Hindus only. Rules can change, so we brief you before the visit and it is easy to skip if it does not suit you.
Can you customize the package for a family, honeymoon or group?
Yes. Room category and meal plan are left open so you can take a call per booking, and we can add nights, upgrade to a private houseboat, swap a hill stay for a beach one, or size the vehicle for a group. Send us who is travelling and roughly what you want, and we will build the route around it.

Plan your Kerala trip from Delhi

Tell us your dates, how many of you are travelling, and if you want us to add Delhi flights. We will send back a day-by-day plan and a firm price within a working day, and adjust it until it fits.
