Kerala Tour Packages from Pune

Govt. of India enlistedLocal Kerala teamFull itinerary before payment

Our standard Kerala tour packages from Pune run from 2 nights and 3 days up to 9 nights and 10 days from Rs.3,108 per person to Rs.14,999, standard package, land only. With only about two nonstop flights a day to Kochi, we suggest booking a fuller 8 nights and 9 days circuit that repays the journey. Flights are extra.

Only a couple of nonstop flights leave Pune for Kochi each day, and that single fact should shape how long a Kerala trip you book. Catch one of them and you are in Fort Kochi in under two hours. Miss the window and you are on a one-stop through Bengaluru, Hyderabad or Mumbai, which turns a short hop into most of a day.

The direct train is no shortcut either. The Pune to Ernakulam services run well over 24 hours on the Konkan line, so almost nobody uses them for a holiday. From Pune, Kerala is a fly-in trip, and the airfare is real money each way.

That is the honest starting point for these Kerala tour packages from Pune. We are trip2keralam, a Kerala-based operator with a team on the ground across the state. We run these routes, book the same hotels and houseboats, and stay reachable while you travel. Every price here is land only, per person on twin sharing, from our current rate sheet, with flights kept separate so you always see where they sit.

Below are five durations that make sense from Pune, from a tight 4 nights and 5 days circuit to a full 8 nights and 9 days run of the state. The one we back is flagged and set out day by day. Each carries a full inclusions list, plainly stated exclusions, and a clear note on where GST and airfare land.

Why Visit Kerala from Pune?

Because it is a clean break from the Deccan plateau, and once you have paid for the flight the state gives you a lot in return. The reasons that matter from Pune, in short:

A nonstop when you plan ahead

Kochi is about one hour forty-five nonstop from Pune, on IndiGo, Air India, Air India Express and Akasa Air (as of September 2026). The catch is frequency. Only around two nonstops run daily, so book early or expect a one-stop of four to five hours.

Everything Maharashtra does not have

you leave a dry inland climate and land in a green coastal state where the rivers are full, the food turns to coconut, fish and appam, and the pace drops the moment you reach the hills.

Three landscapes in one trip

tea mountains at Munnar, a spice-and-wildlife belt at Thekkady, and the Kuttanad backwaters, all within a day's drive of each other, so a week covers ground that would take three separate holidays anywhere else.

A season that suits your leave

the best window, October to March, lines up with the Diwali break, the year-end holidays and the cooler months when Pune families travel south anyway.

Worth the airfare only if you give it time

this is the honest one. A two-night dash does not repay a flight from Pune. Four nights is the floor, and a week is where the trip stops feeling rushed.

Most Popular Kerala Package from Pune with Trip Cost

From Pune we point most travellers toward the longer end, because the getting there is the same effort whether you stay four nights or nine. The five durations below all start and end in Kerala. Prices are per person, land only, on twin sharing, and flights from Pune are separate.

Compare the five durations that work from Pune

Duration Destinations covered Nights per stop Standard price(pp) Best for
4N/5D Munnar, Thekkady, Alleppey Munnar 2, Thekkady 1, Alleppey houseboat 1 Rs.6,479 The core three in the least time
5N/6D Kochi, Munnar, Thekkady, Alleppey Kochi 1, Munnar 2, Thekkady 1, Alleppey 1 Rs.7,991 The classic circuit at an easy pace
6N/7D Kochi, Munnar, Thekkady, Alleppey, Kovalam Kochi 1, Munnar 2, Thekkady 1, Alleppey 1, Kovalam 1 Rs.8,499 Hills and backwaters plus a first beach
7N/8D Kochi, Munnar, Thekkady, Alleppey, Kovalam, Kanyakumari Kovalam 2 with a Kanyakumari day trip Rs.9,499 The circuit plus the southern tip
8N/9D  (recommended) Kochi, Athirappilly, Munnar, Thekkady, Alleppey, Kumarakom, Kovalam Munnar 2, the rest 1 each Rs.10,999 The whole state, top to bottom, once

Here is what each extra day actually buys. The 4 nights and 5 days Kerala Classic covers the three sights people remember, the tea hills, the Periyar spice country and one houseboat night, and nothing else. The 5 nights and 6 days Golden Circuit adds a night in Kochi at the start, so you land, sleep and begin fresh rather than driving up to Munnar tired.

The 6 nights and 7 days Best of Kerala tacks on a night at Kovalam, giving you the coast after the hills and the water. The 7 nights and 8 days Grand Tour pushes further south with a second Kovalam night and a Kanyakumari day trip to the meeting of three seas. The 8 nights and 9 days End to End, our pick, is the only one that adds the Athirappilly waterfall and a Kumarakom backwater night on top of everything else, running the state from the Kochi coast down to Kovalam with no day wasted doubling back.

We recommend the 8 nights and 9 days route from Pune for one plain reason. When the flight is scarce and the train is a full day and more, the trip that justifies the effort is the one that reaches every corner in a single visit, so you are not planning a second Kerala trip to see what a shorter circuit left out.

Day by day: the recommended 8 nights and 9 days route

Day 1  Kochi: five centuries of trade in one walk

We meet you at Kochi airport and settle you into Fort Kochi. The afternoon is a slow walk through the old quarter and Mattancherry, past the spice godowns, the Dutch and Portuguese churches and Jew Town. Stay for the Chinese fishing nets at dusk, still worked by hand by teams of four, then an evening Kathakali show if you have the energy. Overnight in Fort Kochi.

Day 2  Athirappilly: to the river ahead of the crowd

A short drive north through Chalakudy to Athirappilly, around two hours, and a riverside stay for the night. Being here overnight is the whole point, because it puts you at Kerala's largest waterfall early the next morning before the day traffic arrives from Kochi. Athirappilly runs at full volume from September, an eighty foot curtain on the Chalakudy river. Overnight by the river.

Day 3  Charpa falls, then up into the tea country

A morning at Charpa falls and Thumboormuzhi before the road climbs to Munnar, roughly four hours with the Cheeyappara and Valara falls on the way up. By afternoon you are in tea country at around 1,600 metres, where the evenings turn cold enough for a jacket from November. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 4  Munnar: dams, viewpoints and tea estates

A full local day: Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake and Top Station, with the Tata Tea Museum for the story of how these estates were carved out in the 1870s. Reach Top Station early, before the mist rolls in and takes the valley view with it. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 5  Thekkady: spice gardens and an evening of Kalari

Down to Thekkady, about three and a half to four hours, at the edge of the Periyar Tiger Reserve. A guided plantation walk explains how cardamom, pepper, clove and vanilla grow, and the evening is a Kathakali or Kalaripayattu performance in Kumily town. Overnight in Thekkady.

Day 6  Periyar lake, then down to the water at Alleppey

An early boat cruise on Periyar Lake, the best window for elephant and gaur sightings, then the drive down to Alleppey to board your houseboat around midday. Lunch is already cooking as you cast off into Vembanad Lake and the Kuttanad canals. All meals on board. Overnight on the houseboat.

Day 7  Kumarakom: the quieter side of Vembanad

Disembark after breakfast and cross to Kumarakom on the eastern shore of the same lake. It is slower than Alleppey, with the bird sanctuary and long views over the water, a good place to do very little after a week of driving. Overnight in Kumarakom.

Day 8  The coast road south to Kovalam

A drive south to Kovalam, where three crescent beaches sit below a working lighthouse twenty minutes from Trivandrum airport. Sunset from below the Vizhinjam lighthouse, with the fishing boats coming in. Overnight in Kovalam.

Day 9  Trivandrum and the flight home

A short Trivandrum round if your flight allows, covering Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple from the outside, the Kuthiramalika Palace and the Napier Museum, then the drop at Trivandrum airport. The temple restricts entry to Hindus and enforces a strict dress code, which we brief you on beforehand so nobody is turned away at the gate.

A note we make to every Pune traveller on this route. The base of Athirappilly falls is closed by the forest department when the river runs high, usually June to August, so in those months we keep the plan flexible rather than promise a viewpoint the water level may not allow.

Like the shape of this but want it shorter, slower, or with a beach resort at the end? Tell us how you travel and we will rebuild the nine days and re-quote, with no obligation.

Types of Kerala Packages from Pune?

The same routes bend to fit who is travelling. What changes is the pace, the room category and where the nights sit. A few from our rate sheet, priced per person, land only:

Kerala Family Tour Packages

Built to travel gently with children and older parents, with a Kochi night up front so nobody starts on a long drive. The 5 nights 6 days Munnar, Thekkady and Alleppey Family Holiday and the 4 nights and 5 days Kochi, Munnar and Alleppey Family Trail both keep drives short and days flexible.

Kerala Honeymoon Packages

A private houseboat instead of a shared one, and quieter stays. The 4 nights and 5 days Hills, Spice and Houseboat Romance and the 6 nights and 7 days Complete Kerala Romance, which ends on the coast at Kovalam.

Kerala Budget Packages

The lowest land-only rate on our sheet is Rs.3108 for a 2 nights and 3 days Munnar break, but we will say plainly that a two-night trip does not repay a Pune flight. For real value from Pune, the 4 nights and 5 days Kerala Classic spreads the airfare over a proper circuit.

Kerala Adventure Tour Package

For trekking, rafting and wildlife over sightseeing. The 4 nights and 5 days Vagamon and Thekkady Highland Escape with the Periyar spice country, and Wayanad options add caves, waterfalls and hill treks on the northern side.

Kerala Luxury Tour Package

Four and five-star stays, a premium houseboat and island resorts. The 5 nights and 6 days Tea Hills, Houseboat and Poovar Island package includes premium resorts and the exact upgrade rates are quoted per booking against live availability.

Kerala Group Tour Packages

For extended families and friend groups travelling together, with a larger vehicle and rooms held on one booking. Group vehicle type, seat bands and per-head pricing are quoted per booking through our operations team, since they sit outside the twin-sharing rate sheet. Send us the headcount and dates and we will build it.

What's Included in Kerala Tour Packages from Pune?

Every featured package is quoted on room plus daily breakfast, twin sharing, land only.

Included

What the price covers:
  • Hotel or resort stay on twin sharing, room plus daily breakfast, in the category confirmed at booking.
  • A private air-conditioned vehicle for all transfers and sightseeing exactly as the day plan lists, with an experienced local driver who knows the routes.
  • All fuel, tolls, parking, the inter-state permit and the driver's allowance, so there is nothing to settle with the driver on the road.
  • Entry tickets and ride charges for every site named in the day-by-day itinerary, not just some of them.
  • One houseboat night on full board where the route includes it: welcome drink, lunch, evening tea with snacks, dinner and next-morning breakfast, which is how Alleppey and Kumarakom operators sell them.
  • Airport or railway station pickup and drop inside Kerala.
  • 24x7 on-ground assistance from the trip2keralam team in Kerala for the whole trip.

Not Included

Stated plainly, so there are no surprises at a gate or a jetty:
  • Air and rail fare between Pune and Kerala. We fold flights into the quote if you ask.
  • Lunch and dinner, except the houseboat full board already listed above.
  • Any site, ride or activity not named in the day plan, including wildlife safaris, bamboo rafting and adventure activities booked on the spot.
  • Ayurveda treatments and spa sessions unless a package lists them, plus camera fees, tips and personal expenses.
  • GST as applicable on tour packages.
  • Anything not written under inclusions.

Kerala Trip Cost from Pune

A Kerala trip from Pune has two parts: the land package, which we quote and control, and the flights, which move with your dates. The land package below is per person on twin sharing, room plus daily breakfast, with houseboat nights on full board. The full ladder runs from a 2 nights and 3 days break to a 9 nights and 10 days grand tour, so you can see where your budget lands before you add airfare.

Duration Standard Price(PP) What it covers
2N/3D Rs.3,108 One base: Munnar, Alleppey, Thekkady, Wayanad or Kovalam
3N/4D Rs. 4,134 Two stops, hills plus a houseboat, or a coastal pair
4N/5D Rs.6,479 The core circuit: Munnar, Thekkady and Alleppey
5N/6D Rs.6,499 The classic circuit with a Kochi or beach night added
6N/7D Rs.8,499 Hills, spice, backwaters and a first beach
7N/8D Rs.9,499 The circuit plus the deep south or a second beach
8N/9D Rs.10,999 The full state, Kochi to Kovalam, at an easy pace
9N/10D Rs.13,499 The grand tour, coast to coast, nothing left out

On top of the land price, budget for the return flight from Pune. Nonstop Pune to Kochi fares started around Rs.6,000 one way as of July 2026, with one-stop fares usually lower but slower. Rates on both the land package and the flights climb over peak dates: 20 December to 5 January, Onam, and the Christmas and New Year weeks. GST is charged as applicable on tour packages, so ask us to confirm the current slab when we quote. For a fuller read on when to go, see our guide to the

Planning tip: compare durations and prices on our Kerala tour packages by duration page, then read the best time to visit Kerala before you fix your dates.

Best Time to Visit Kerala

Kerala runs on three broad seasons, and the right one depends on what you want to see:

  • October to March, the main season: clear skies, cool hills and calm seas. Best for Munnar viewpoints, houseboats and Kovalam swimming. This is also peak pricing, so book early for the year-end weeks.
  • September to January for the waterfalls: Athirappilly and the Munnar streams run hardest after the rains, which is why our recommended route leans on these months.
  • June to September, the monsoon: green, quiet and cheap, and the right window for Ayurveda, but hill viewpoints stay misty, some falls close their base, and the sea at Kovalam turns rough with red-flag days.
  • April and May, the shoulder: hot and humid on the coast but still pleasant in the hills, with lower rates before the rains arrive.

Top Attractions Covered in Pune to Kerala Holiday Packages

What the featured routes actually put in front of you:
  • Fort Kochi and Mattancherry, the Chinese fishing nets, the spice godowns and an evening of Kathakali.
  • Athirappilly and Vazhachal falls on the Chalakudy river, Kerala's largest, best seen overnight and early.
  • Munnar's tea country: Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Top Station, Kundala Lake and the Tata Tea Museum.
  • Thekkady and the Periyar Tiger Reserve, the early lake cruise, and a working cardamom and pepper plantation.
  • The Alleppey and Kuttanad backwaters from an overnight houseboat, and the quieter Kumarakom shore of Vembanad Lake.
  • Kovalam's three beaches below the Vizhinjam lighthouse, with Kanyakumari's three-sea meeting point on the longer routes.

Why Book Your Kerala tour package from Pune with trip2keralam?

Because a page can promise anything, so here is what actually stands behind the quote:

We are in Kerala, not a call centre far from it

our team lives and works across the state, meets you at Kochi airport, and books the same hotels and houseboats we send you to. If a road is shut or a river is high, we know before you leave home.

The quote is close to what you spend

entry tickets and the houseboat full board are already inside the price, so you are not paying again at every gate and jetty, and the vehicle costs, permits and driver allowance are covered.

A named person you can reach

you get one coordinator on the phone through the trip, plus 24x7 on-ground help in Kerala if a plan has to shift mid-trip, rather than a new agent each time you call.

Honest about what suits Pune

we will tell you when a trip duration is too short to repay your airfare, and we would rather lose the sale than send you on a trip you come home disappointed by.

Land only, with flights shown separately

you always see the real package price and where airfare sits, so there is no teaser figure hiding the true cost.

People Also Asked About Kerala Trip Packages from Pune

Are flights from Pune included in the Kerala package price?

No. Every price on this page is land only, per person on twin sharing, covering hotels, transfers, sightseeing and entry tickets inside Kerala. Flights from Pune are separate because fares move with your dates. Nonstop Pune to Kochi started around Rs.6,000 one way as of July 2026. Tell us your dates and we will add flights to the quote if you want them.

How many days do I need for a Kerala trip from Pune?

Given the flight and the lack of a quick train, four nights is the honest minimum from Pune, enough for Munnar, Thekkady and one houseboat night. Six to nine nights is the sweet spot, because the effort of getting there is the same whether you stay four nights or nine. Our recommended trip is 8 nights and 9 days, Kochi to Kovalam.

Do I land in Kochi and leave from Trivandrum, or fly back from the same airport?
It depends on the route. The shorter circuits loop back to Kochi, so a round-trip ticket into Kochi is simplest and cheapest, and Kochi is where Pune's nonstops run. The longer routes, including our recommended one, end in the south, so flying home from Trivandrum saves you a full backtrack day. We will tell you which fits the package you pick.
Which is the cheapest month to visit Kerala from Pune?

June to September, the monsoon, has the lowest land rates and flight fares, and it suits Ayurveda and green scenery, though hill views stay misty and some waterfalls close their base. For clear weather at the best price, the shoulder weeks in October and late February beat the December peak, when both packages and flights climb.

How does the overnight Alleppey houseboat actually work?

Yes. You board a houseboat at Alleppey around midday, cruise Vembanad Lake and the Kuttanad canals through the afternoon, anchor for the night, and disembark after breakfast the next morning. It is quoted on full board: welcome drink, lunch, evening tea, dinner and breakfast, all cooked on board. That full-board houseboat night is already inside our package price.

Is there a dress code at the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum?
Yes, and it is strict. Entry is restricted to Hindus, men wear a mundu or dhoti with no shirt, and women wear a saree or a long skirt and top. Our longer routes pass through Trivandrum, so we brief every guest beforehand and, where entry is not possible, we plan the Kuthiramalika Palace and Napier Museum instead.
Can you tailor the trip for a family, a honeymoon or a big group booking?

Yes, that is most of what we do. We slow the pace and add a Kochi night for families with children or older parents, swap in a private houseboat and quieter stays for honeymooners, and arrange a larger vehicle and rooms on one booking for groups. Send your dates, headcount and how you like to travel, and we will rebuild the route and re-quote.

How much does a full Kerala tour from Pune cost?
The standard land package runs from Rs.6,987 per person for a 4 nights and 5 days circuit to Rs.11,999 for the recommended 8 nights and 9 days route, twin sharing and land only. On top of that, budget for a return flight from Pune, roughly Rs.6,000 or more each way depending on dates. GST is charged as applicable, which we confirm when we quote.

Plan your Kerala trip from Pune

Tell us your travel dates, how many of you are coming, and whether you want us to add the Pune flights. We will send back a day-by-day plan and one firm price within a working day, and keep adjusting it until it fits your leave and your budget. You can also browse our full
