Kochi, Munnar and Alleppey Family Trail — 4 Nights / 5 Days
A Kochi night on arrival means nobody drives straight off a flight, then two nights in Munnar and a final houseboat night at Alleppey, with the longest driving day kept under four hours. The route runs Kochi to Munnar to Alleppey and back to Kochi, so there is no backtracking and no long transfer at the end of a sightseeing day.
About this itinerary
This 4 nights and 5 days Kerala package covers Kochi, Munnar and Alleppey, based on a Kochi night on arrival, two nights in Munnar and a houseboat night at Alleppey. Day 1 is Fort Kochi with the Chinese fishing nets and Mattancherry Palace, Day 2 climbs to Munnar past the Cheeyappara and Valara falls, Day 3 is a full Munnar sightseeing day with boating at Mattupetty Dam and the Tea Museum, Day 4 drops to Alleppey for a full houseboat night, and Day 5 disembarks after breakfast for the drive to Kochi.
The pacing is built around children: the Kochi night at the front means nobody drives straight off a flight, and the longest driving day stays under four hours. The houseboat on the final night is the part children remember, with all meals cooked on board.

Questions about this package
What does the Kochi, Munnar and Alleppey Family Trail package cover?
A Kochi night on arrival with a Fort Kochi walk, two nights in Munnar for boating at Mattupetty Dam and the Tea Museum, and a full houseboat night at Alleppey with all meals on board. The longest driving day stays under four hours, and Day 5 disembarks after breakfast for the drive back to Kochi.
Is this itinerary suitable for young children?
It is built for them. The Kochi night at the front means nobody drives straight off a flight, the longest driving day stays under four hours, and the days are paced around things children actually enjoy: the Chinese fishing nets, boating at Mattupetty Dam, the Tea Museum demonstration and a full night on the houseboat.
How much driving is involved each day?
The longest driving day is under four hours. The route runs Kochi to Munnar to Alleppey and back to Kochi, so there is no backtracking and no long transfer at the end of a sightseeing day.
Do you have family rooms or connecting rooms?
Yes. Family rooms, connecting rooms or two-bedroom cottages are available on upgrade and are re-quoted. A larger vehicle can be arranged too. Tell us your group size and ages when you enquire and we will build the quote around it.
How are children charged?
Child rates apply and vary by property. Children below a set age are usually free when sharing existing bedding, and an extra bed or child with bed is quoted separately. We confirm the exact rate for your hotel at the time of booking.
When should we book if we are travelling during the school holidays?
As early as you can. April, May and December fill up months in advance, and families who wait end up choosing from the weaker properties rather than negotiating a better rate. Book the dates first, customize the plan after.
How do we book, and what happens if we cancel?
50% of the package amount confirms the booking, and the balance is due before departure or on arrival. Payment is by bank wire transfer to our account. Dates may be changed, shortened or cancelled with 30 days' written notice, subject to availability. Inside 30 days the package amount is retained in full.
